What is EcoNIDRA?
EcoNIDRA combines the practices of yoga nidra and forest bathing to create a powerfully restful and rejuvenating experience. Together we’ll take an internal journey through our senses, tune into our bodies, and finally let the sounds of the natural world carry us to a place of deep relaxation.
I’ve never done yoga/mindfulness/forest bathing/meditation etc – is this for me?
Yes, absolutely! These sessions are suitable for everyone, whether you’ve tried anything similar before or not.
What should I have ready when I log on for the session?
A quiet, comfortable spot where you won’t be disturbed, space to lie down, and blankets and cushions to keep you cosy are the essentials. Headphones are recommended to give you the best sound quality.
It can also be nice to have a reminder of nature alongside us during the guided relaxation, to help us feel connected to the world we live in. This can be any kind of natural being or object – for example a plant, a conker, a feather, flowers… or even a pet!
Why is it free?
As part of EcoNIDRA training, we are asked to create a project that helps to spread a little kindness – this is my attempt to do just that 🙂 You don’t need to subscribe to, sign up for, or download anything to access this session – and you can use it as many times as you like!
