We run monthly forest bathing events at RSPB The Lodge (Sandy, Bedfordshire) and Salcey Forest (Northamptonshire), and occasional special events at Maulden Wood (near Ampthill, Bedfordshire).
Our locations
Salcey lies between Milton Keynes and Northampton – it was once part of a medieval royal hunting forest and is still home to ancient oaks.
RSPB The Lodge is near Sandy, just off the A1 in the beautiful Greensand Country area of Bedfordshire. A firm favourite with lovely winding trails among oak, chestnut and birch.
Maulden Wood sits conveniently between Bedford, Milton Keynes, and Luton, just off the A6. It’s a gorgeous and really varied site, including heathland as well as one of the county’s largest remnants of ancient woodland.

***BRAND NEW*** We’ll be running our first ever Canopy & Craft workshop at Maulden Wood on Friday 7th November. These sessions will combine forest bathing with mindful making for a double boost to your wellbeing! Running for 3.5 hours, we’ll start by taking time to tune into nature with forest bathing in beautiful Maulden Wood, then return to the Working Woodlands Centre for hot drinks, snacks and companiable chat, before designing and painting our own nature-inspired silk wall hangings.
